Following a failed attack by Somali pirates on the vessel Boularibank in April 2009, Andrew Weir Shipping immediately implemented tighter measures to keep crew vigilant during transit of high-risk areas. The presentation will detail these measures, including:

  • Lessons learnt following the attack
  • Effective training measures implemented across the fleet
  • How to ensure crew are constantly reminded of the importance of security on board
