About Bank Line and our Ships ....
We have a proud history spanning a hundred years, and our even older principal, Andrew Weir & Company Ltd, is one of the last family-owned British shipping lines. In our history, you will find romantic tales of the windjammers racing with their cargoes for Britain, images of sleek freighters in Oriental ports or in harbours along the Coromandel Coast, as well as log books recording visits by Bank Line vessels to Africa's varied coast, and laden ships gliding through the clear blue waters of the South Pacific.

Aboard our British-registered ships, modern, comfortable facilities await you. You will find that the fine traditions of the sea, established over decades of worldwide trading, are blended with a touch of informality, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Our four vessels on our round-the-world service have four tastefully decorated double cabins and five singles, all with their own facilities. Cuisine is British with occasional exotic variations, including barbeques, a most agreeable climax at sunset after a leisurely tropical day at sea.
